Anders Aukland, Team Ragde Charge, made his World Cup debut just over 30 years ago. Won Olympic gold in 2002, World Championships gold in 2003, and Vasaloppet in 2004. On Sunday, the 16-time stage winner in Ski Classics ends his outstanding professional career.
“Actually, what the (Norwegian) Ski Association is doing with the selection for the World Cup in Lillehammer is a mockery of all the ‘new, young skiers who are on their way and are determined to be the best.” That’s what long-distance skiing legend Anders Aukland writes in his latest column.
