For the Norwegian traditional cross-country skier Helene Marie Fossesholm, there’s one day in November that will decide her entire season. She’s looking forward to it just as much as she’s dreading it. 

Bad luck continues for Helene Marie Fossesholm. The 23-year-old Norwegian sustained a horrific injury during a football tournament on Saturday. There was an impact during a challenge, and her knee took the worst hit.

“Better late than never,” says Helene Marie Fossesholm. The 22-year-old announces she is ready for her season debut at the Norwegian National Championships this week.

Helene Fossesholm makes a comeback. Now, almost a year after her last ski race, the 22-year-old Norwegian is ready to compete again.

Helene Marie Fossesholm announced that at a press conference on Tuesday, she opened up about setbacks, the road back, and future plans.
