Last winter, Alvar Myhlback won twice at the Junior World Championships and finished third at Vasaloppet. A few weeks ago, he performed solidly against the Swedish national team skiers at the roller ski premiere in Ulricehamn.
A roller skiing competition in Ulricehamn on June 1 may not say much about the World Championships squad for Trondheim next winter. But 18-year-old Alvar Myhlback outclassed the Swedish national team members in the Svenska Spel Summer Tour 2024 and showed he wants to fight for a World Championships spot.
He steps into the Swedish junior national team. However, Alvar Myhlback will still run some training camps with the Lager 157 Ski Team.
Less than two weeks ago, 17-year-old Alvar Myhlback finished third at Vasaloppet. This weekend, he will compete at the World Cup in Falun.

A year ago, Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, became the youngest skier ever at Vasaloppet. He made a good impression and finished eight. Now, the Pro Team athlete aims higher.
Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, can look back on a successful Junior World Championships. Now, his sights are set on this weekend’s competitions in Ski Classics, where he hopes to be able to challenge for podium places.
He was on the podium in the Swedish sprint premiere for senior skiers. On Monday’s sprint at the Junior World Championships, Alvar Myhlback is outside the Swedish team.
