Becchis and Arnesen 200m sprint winners at the Madona Roller Ski World Cup

The Roller Ski World Cup had its second day this Saturday with a freestyle 200m sprint race in Madona, Latvia. Emanuele Becchis (ITA) and Julie Henriette Arnesen (NOR) won their respective races.

200m Sprint Race Men – Madona Roller Ski World Cup 

In the 200m men’s sprint race, we saw Emanuele Becchis (ITA) taking home first place. Lauris Kaparkalejs (LAT) snagged second place, and Michele Valerio (ITA) completed the podium in third place.

Julie Henriette Arnesen (NOR) took first place today at the Madona Roller Ski World Cup in the women’s sprint race in freestyle technique. Linn Sömskar (SWE) snagged second place, and Jackline Lockner (SWE) completed the podium in third place.

Program for the Madona Roller Ski World Cup and Junior World Championships

  • August 18 – individual race in classic technique (15km men; 10 km women and junior men; 7.5km junior women)
  • August 19 – 200m sprint in freestyle technique (women/men and junior women/junior men)
  • August 20 – mass start in freestyle technique (20 km men/junior men and 15 km women/junior women)
