These Swedes Are Ready For The 2022 Olympics

The Swedish Olympic Committee has named eight cross-country skiers to the national team headed to the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.

Tuesday morning, eight Swedish cross-country skiers received their tickets to the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.  

These eight cross-country skiers were named to the Swedish national team for the 2022 Olympics on December 21:  
Maja Dahlqvist, 
Moa Olsson, 
Emma Ribom, 
Marcus Grate, 
Johan Häggström, 
Leo Johansson, 
Anton Persson, 
William Poromaa

The Swedish Olympic Committee made the announcement on Tuesday morning.

Frida Karlsson, Jonna Sundling, Ebba Andersson, Jens Burman and Oskar Svensson were already selected. Linn Svahn was also part of the pre-selected team, but will not race in the upcoming Olympics due to injuries.

Several of these skiers will also race Tour de Ski, which starts on December 28.

Sweden has a total of 16 spots to the 2022 Olympics. The final selection to the cross-country team will be announced in January. The last spots are awarded based on performances at the Tour de Ski from December 28 to January 4, and the World Cup races in des Rousses, France, on January 14 to 16.

Biathlon:
 Anna Magnusson, Linn Persson, Elvira Öberg, Hanna Öberg, Peppe Femling, Jesper Nelin, Sebastian Samuelsson, Martin Ponsiluoma
Ski jumping: Frida Westman
Alpine: Anna Swenn-Larsson, Sara McManus, Hector Kristoffer Jakobsen, Hanna Aronsson Elfman, Mattias Rönngren
Freeski, slopestyle and big air: Jesper Tjäder, Henrik Harlaut, Oliwer Magnusson 
Moguls: Albin Holmgren, Ludvig Fjällström, Walter Wallberg
Skicross: Sandra Näslund, Alexandra Edebo, Viktor Andersson, Erik Mobärg, David Mobärg 
Snowboard, slopestyle and big air: Sven Thorgren, Niklas Mattsson

In total, Sweden has now named more than 100 athletes to the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
