Exit Tour de Ski For Ida Dahl

by Leandro Lutz • 05.01.2023
Swedish Pro Tour athlete Ida Dahl calls it quits for Tour de Ski after four stages.

Yesterday, Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, was 41st on Tour de Ski stage 4 and the 34th best skier at this year’s Tour de Ski, 6:30 back overall. Now she chooses to call it quits:

“Now that we see that she does not have the opportunity to reach top positions in the Tour overall and she feels tired, it is better that she is allowed to leave and travel home,” says the Swedish National Team Manager Anders Byström to Viaplay.

After a good performance at Bruksvallarma Premiere in Sweden and the World Cup debut in Davos, Dahl was invited to be part of the Swedish National Team for Tour de Ski.

Ida Dahl is leading the Ski Classics Yellow Champion competition after winning both individual events in December and the Bad Gastein Pro Team Tempo.

Ski Classics restarts after the Christmas and New Year’s break in less than two weeks.

The upcoming Ski Classics Pro Tour event is Pustertaler Ski Marathon, a 62km classic technique event in Italy on January 14, followed by Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge, a 30km race also in Italy on January 15, 2023.
