Finnish national team for the Ruka World Cup

The cross-country skiing World Cup season 2024/2025 starts this week in Ruka, Finland. The Finnish national team is now selected.

Ruka, Finland, is the place for this year’s cross-country skiing World Cup premiere. The event starts on Friday, November 29, with a 10km interval start race in classic technique. On Saturday, November 30, a sprint race in classic style awaits. And on Sunday, December 1, the World Cup premiere weekend ends with a 20km mass start race in freestyle technique.

In a press release, the Finnish Ski Association has named their cross-country ski team for the upcoming World Cup premiere in Ruka. Since the World Cup is on home soil, Finland will get extra places and will start with 12 athletes of each gender in each event.
