Frida Karlsson trained double poling with Pro Team skiers
Frida Karlsson has been in Tenerife for a while to focus on her rehab training. On October 25, the Swedish national team announced that Frida is skipping the snow camp in Vålådalen due to an old foot injury.
“It’s an overload in the soft tissues of my left foot, which, combined with a tough training autumn, has contributed to overuse and misalignment, affecting, among other things, my groin,” said Frida Karlsson during a press conference.

Instead, she will focus on alternative training, including cycling in Tenerife, which she has shared on social media.
Tenerife – A Frequent Training Spot in the Autumn
At this time of year, many skiers are usually found in Tenerife. Last year, both the Lager 157 Ski Team and Team Ramudden were on the small Canary Island. This year, Team Ramudden’s women’s team is there, while the men are training on the Spanish mainland.
Julie Kvale Støstad is Team Ramudden’s new recruit from Team Næringbanken Stora Enso on the women’s side. She’s also an avid photographer on social media. In a photo collage titled:
“Thank you, Tenerife ☀️ ⛰️”
Team Ramudden’s women can be seen with Frida Karlsson in roller ski gear in several pictures. Representing Team Ramudden were Julie Kvale Støstad, Emilie Fleten, and Ida Palmberg.
“It’s a wonderful group to be on the road with,” says Støstad in a message to ProXCskiing.com’s sister site Langd.se, adding:
“We did double poling intervals and a few lighter sessions together.”

Team Ramudden has recently wrapped up their camp in Tenerife after nearly three weeks of intense training. So far, we don’t see any Team Ramudden skiers registered for Bruksvallarna, the Swedish season opener. However, several skiers from Team Eksjöhus are on the start list. Julie Støstad, though, is continuing her training focus.
“I’ll be staying home to train for Bad Gastein,” concludes Støstad.
