Iivo Niskanen won the Vuokatti Aateli Race for the tenth time and seventh consecutive time. Markus Vuorela finished second overall, and Lauri Lepistö was third.

Iivo Niskanen again won the Vuokatti Aateli Race. The race day started with a running race, which Niskanen said went quite well.

“The run was okay. I started with a steady pace, as I already had a good gap between Remi Lindholm and Alexander Ståhlberg from yesterday. I knew they were solid runners and I just wanted to get some gap before the last roller ski section. I did well, and yes, I felt the heat and the lactic acid of the run when I went skiing,” says Iivo Niskanen to Maastohiihto.com and added about the roller ski race that ended the entire event:

“I saw that the trio behind me was coming quite well on the roller track, and I kept such a steady pace until the top of the climb. I tried to ski in such a comfort zone that if someone gets close to me, I can still tighten up. I tightened up a bit at the end when Markus Vuorela came a bit closer. It was quite a balanced move.”
