Italian Team For Tour de Ski 2022/2023
Now in its 17th edition, Tour de Ski consists of seven competitions over nine days in three different countries, and it’s the fifth round of the 2022/2023 FIS World Cup.
In a press release, the Italian Winter Sports Federation named their cross-country ski team for Tour de Ski. Italy will start with 16 athletes. On the women’s side, Italy will begin with six skiers. Already on the men’s side, ten athletes will start for the European country.

According to the press release, Sanfilippo continues to share her focus between biathlon (she took part with good results in the recent IBU Cup competitions in Val Ridanna) and traditional cross-country skiing, where she achieved satisfactory positions in the Italian Cup in Santa Catarina Valfurva.

New this season is the same race distances for women and men in all World Cup events, as the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS) decided in May. Several other changes have also been introduced to the World Cup.
