Kaparkaleja and Grahn winners of the 200m sprint at the Junior Roller Ski World Championships 2023

The Junior Roller Ski World Championships had its second day this Saturday with a 200m sprint race in freestyle technique in Madona, Latvia. Linda Kaparkaleja (LAT) and Anton Grahn (SWE) won their respective races.

Junior Women’s Race – 200m Sprint

Linda Kaparkaleja (LAT) took first place today at the FIS Junior Roller Ski World Championships in the junior women’s 200m sprint race in freestyle technique.

Anna Maria Ghiddi (ITA) snagged second place, and Mariya Gerachshenko (KAZ) completed the podium in third place.

Junior Men’s Race

In the junior men’s 200m sprint race, we saw Anton Grahn (SWE) taking home first place. Jonatan Lindberg (SWE) snagged second place, and Alessandro Corradi (ITA) completed the podium in third place.

Program for the Madona Roller Ski World Cup and Junior World Championships

  • August 18 – individual race in classic technique (15km men; 10 km women and junior men; 7.5km junior women)
  • August 19 – 200m sprint in freestyle technique (women/men and junior women/junior men)
  • August 20 – mass start in freestyle technique (20 km men/junior men and 15 km women/junior women)
