Klæbo And Weng Winners At Kanalrennet Rollerski World Cup

The Kanalrennet Rollerski World Cup, a 50km long-distance race in classic technique for men and 25km for women and junior athletes, took place today with a strong starting field in Telemark, Norway.

Many Ski Classics Pro Team athletes and World Cup skiers matched their skills in a tough race. After a day full of action, Kanalrennet’s senior winners were Johannes Høsflot Klæbo and Lotta Udnes Weng, both showing strong summer performances.

In the 50km men’s competition, the winner was Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, with a total time of 1:47:15.5. Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget finished in second place, 0.1 seconds behind, followed by Mikael Gunnulfsen, 0.2 seconds back and completing the podium in the third position.

  1. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (NOR), 1:47:15.5 
  2. Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget (NOR), + 0.1
  3. Mikael Gunnulfsen (NOR), + 0.2

In the 25km women’s race, Lotta Udnes Weng, with a time of 1:02:03.9, won ahead of Amalie Håkonsen Ous, in second place, 0.2 seconds back. Linn Sömskar, 0.5 seconds behind, finished in third place.

Junior Kanalrennet rollerski race also took place today with a 25km classic event for men and women.

  2. Lars Heggen (NOR), + 7.8
  3. Per Ingvar Tollehaug (NOR), + 42.0

Top 3, Kanalrennet 25km, Junior Women

  1. Milla Grosberghaugen Andreassen (NOR), 1:02:58.9
  2. Mabel Ovedie Herskedal Amundsen (NOR), + 2:57.1
  3. Synne Boeressen Bollingmo (NOR), + 5:04.2
