A sprint race in classic technique for women and men marked Toppidrettsveka day two. The competition attracted a solid field to the start line in Aure, Norway. 

In the men’s race, Even Northug, Team Janteloppet/Norway, won in a total time of 2:54.24. Pål Trøan Aune, Steinkjer Skiklubb, finished in second place with a time of 2:54.60. Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, completed the podium in third place with a time of 2:54.78.
