Tänglander and Pozzi winners at the Youth Olympic Games sprint

Elsa Tänglander (SWE) and Federico Pozzi (ITA) secured first place in the sprint races in freestyle technique at the Gangwon Youth Olympic Winter Games – results from the sprint race.

Women’s Sprint – Youth Olympic Games

Elsa Tänglander, from Sweden, took first place at the Gangwon sprint race in freestyle technique with a total time of 3:33.98. The Swedish cross-country skier was followed by Kajsa Johansson, also from Sweden, 0.26 seconds back, in second place.

Nelli-Lotta Karppelin, from Finland, completed the podium in third place, 0.48 seconds behind the winner. 

Sarah Hofmann, from Germany, and Katerina Duskova, from the Czech Republic, rounded out the top 5 by finishing 4th and 5th, respectively.

Men’s Sprint – Youth Olympic Games

Federico Pozzi, from Italy, took first place at the Gangwon sprint race in freestyle technique with a total time of 3:16.27. The Italian cross-country skier was followed by Jakob Elias Moch, from Germany, 0.33 seconds back, in second place.

Tabor Greenberg, from the USA, completed the podium in third place, 1.06 seconds behind the winner. 

Milan Neukirchner, from Germany, and Nolan Gertsch, from Switzerland, rounded out the top 5 by finishing 4th and 5th, respectively.
