“The entire season could be at risk”
As reported by Langrenn.com, Helene Marie Fossesholm suffered a significant blow during a football match with sponsors, in which her kneecap was dislocated. Now it turns out that the injury might cost her the entire season.

In six weeks, she will have a follow-up examination. That’s when she’ll find out if she needs surgery. If so, her entire season could be at risk.
“If surgery is required, I’ll definitely be upset,” Fossesholm told NRK.
The injury occurred just as Fossesholm was on the verge of a comeback after several difficult seasons.

Minimal Training
At best, she will only need six weeks on crutches.
At the moment, Fossesholm can do very little training. Half an hour of cycling each day and a few simple exercises to keep her knee from stiffening are all she’s allowed to do. The brace around her knee must stay on all day except when she showers.
“Regardless of when you get injured, it’s critical for the season, especially when it happens in September,” says Fossesholm.
However, the 23-year-old chooses to remain optimistic about the situation:
“I’m going to train as much as I can, do the exercises perfectly, and be extremely careful. Otherwise, I just need to take care of myself. It’s a bummer, but I have to try to distract myself a bit.”
