Tour de Ski Day 4: The Best Photos From Oberstdorf

The 1.2-kilometer sprint classic race for women and 1.5-kilometer sprint classic race for men in Oberstdorf, Germany, marked the fourth stage of the 16th edition of Tour de Ski.

After races in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, and Oberstdorf, Germany, day 4 of the brutal six-stage Tour de Ski featured sprint classic races for both men and women. 

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (NOR) and Natalia Nepryaeva (RUS) claimed stage victories today. Klæbo and Nepryaeva are the Overall Tour de Ski leaders (yellow bib).

Tour de Ski now moves on to Val di Fiemme, Italy, for Tour de Ski stage 5 and 6 on January 3 and 4. Stage 5 features a 10-kilometer mass start classic race for women and 15-kilometer mass start classic race for men. Stage 6 features the final climb with a 10-kilometer mass start skate race for both men and women.

  • Tour de Ski 2021/22 is the 16th edition of the brutal stage race. These are the winners from the previous 15 Tour de Ski events
  • The overall winners get 400 World Cup points for the Tour de Ski, which consists of six stages in eight days. Stage winners get 50 World Cup points. Accordingly, there are potentially 700 World Cup points for winning every stage of the Tour de Ski, which would determine the overall World Cup for the season.
