Vigants wins at the Roller Ski World Championships day 1

The Roller Ski World Championships had its first day this Thursday with a 15km mass start race in freestyle technique for elite men in Ziano Di Fiemme, Italy. Check out the results.

15km Men’s Race – Ziano Di Fiemme Roller Ski World Championships 

In the 15km men’s mass start freestyle technique race, we saw Raimo Vigants (LAT) taking home first place in a total time of 29:13.6. Amund August Korsaeth (NOR) snagged second place, 0.6 seconds back, and Martin Himma (EST) completed the podium in third place, 1.7 seconds behind the winner.

Junior men also raced today in a shorter 10km mass start race in freestyle technique.

Roller Ski World Championships 2024

The Ziano Di Fiemme Roller Ski World Championships is taking place from September 12 to 15 next week. In Italy, all events will be contested by women, men, junior women, and junior men. On Thursday, September 12, there was a 10/15km mass start race in freestyle technique. On Friday, September 13, a 200m sprint in freestyle technique is taking place.

On Saturday, September 14, it’s time for a team sprint in freestyle technique. On Sunday, September 15, there will be a mass start race in classic technique with 13km for junior women and men and 15km for senior women and men.
