Davos, Switzerland a premier destination for elite XC skiers, has officially open its renowned cross-country Snowfarming track as of November 1st, 2024.

A 20,000-cubic-meter snow pile, preserved over summer with sawdust to maintain around 70–80% of its volume, has formed a four-kilometer-long track. This innovative snow-farming technique ensures an early ski season start, regardless of autumn temperatures.

World-Class Training Grounds for Athletes

The Snowfarming trail in Davos attracts elite cross-country teams from over 12 nations. Its challenging design with diverse ascents and descents provides optimal training conditions for top athletes preparing for the season.

This year there has been a change in the course, the four-kilometer-long track now takes on part of the newer Davos World Cup loop.

Designated Time Slots for All Skiers

The trail is open to both competitive athletes and recreational skiers, with scheduled time slots tailored to different ability groups. It is recommended for teams and individuals to register online if they intend to train during designated hours.
