The cross-country World Cup season 2024/2025 started today in Ruka, Finland, with a 10km interval start race in classic technique for women and men. Check out the women’s results.

Frida Karlsson (SWE) dominated the 10km individual start race in classic technique at the World Cup premiere in Ruka. Complete results from the women’s event.

Frida Karlsson (SWE) took home first place today in the women’s 10km classic race with a time of 25:16.2 and a solid early season form.

Therese Johaug (NOR), returning to the World Cup scene after a few years, grabbed second place 46.5 seconds back, and Astrid Øyre Slind (NOR) completed the podium in third place, 54.02 seconds behind the winner.

Facts Ruka World Cup Season 2024/2025

Ruka, Finland, is the place for this year’s cross-country skiing World Cup premiere. The event started on Friday, November 29, with a 10km interval start race in classic technique. On Saturday, November 30, a sprint race in classic technique awaits. And on Sunday, December 1, the World Cup premiere weekend ends with a 20km mass start race in freestyle technique.
